Ice Cream

"Thank you Great Grandpa Dunford for the ice cream money!"
I usually share my cone with Logan but I knew G.G. Dunford, you'd love to see Logan go to town himself, so this was the first time he has got to have his own cone and he loved it. The kids really enjoyed the cool treat after playing in the hot sun. What could be better than chocolate and peanut butter!

Family picture

Janelle drew a picture of our family! Logan is on the left, then Janelle. I'm the pink one and Brad's all the way on the right. All five of us are there. I'm really curious where my face is. I asked Janelle why I don't have one and she simply said I don't need one. hmmmm...

And just in case you are confused... I didn't count wrong, we are now a family of five and the face on my tummy isn't mine! According to Janelle and all of her friends it's a baby sister! And we are very excited to meet this new little one sometime next Feb. I think. Please remember to pray for us as Brad applied for some special training and if he is chosen he will be gone when the baby comes. This baby wasn't in our plans this soon because of that but we are confident that this is God's timing and we all know that there is nothing better than God's timing. He is so good.

Wild Child!

Wild Child! Where wild kids are allowed to be wild! Janelle and Logan had a blast at a friends birthday party. It was so fun we just might have to try it out for Janelle's 4th!

Hotdogs and s'mores

Janelle couldn't wait to get a s'more. Marshmallows are one of her many favorites.

Thank you mom!

I'm posting these so my Mom can see the flowers she got me. Sorry I didn't get this up sooner Mom. The flowers are a week old here so they are lasting pretty good. They are beautiful, Thank you Mom. Love you!

Cook out

We went to our Pastor's house last night for a hot dog and s'more cookout. The kid's had and blast and Janelle had fun on the trampoline. It was only her second time on one and she was very cautious. She wouldn't let go of Ryanne, the daughter of our missionary builder, hands the entire time of her jumping experience.

Life is good

I love sleeping kids. Not only is the house peaceful but so are their adorable faces. I think I check them about ten times at night just to watch them sleep and give then another kiss.

I was hoping to catch Logan with his rump up in the air because that is how I almost always find him sleeping but he is just as cute when he sleeps on his side.

Soccer

Janelle goes to a soccer night every week and attempts to learn the game. It's a laid back sort of gathering and they stretch, drill and play. Janelle loves it; I don't know if it's really to play or to socialize. These pictures show her playing it up good but this is about all she did. The rest of the time she just ran after her friend and talk while the ball would roll right past her. To give her credit, she was the youngest one out there and it's only been her second time playing.

Janelle's new hat!

Janelle got a new hat and Daddy thought it looked punky. So Brad had her making punky faces to get the total effect. Janelle is very good at making any face you ask her, right Uncle Kevin! So even though Brad looks innocent in the background, this face thing was all his doing. And of coarse mothers always like to show off their kid's talents right? Hopefully this skill of Janelle's will keep up during the teen years. That should keep the boys away. This is her "I'm drinking milk" face too.

Where's Logan?

Logan got such a kick that we couldn't find him. This is his favorite hiding spot except he usually uses the other curtain. Ahhhh simple kids for simple parents.;) This is the life.

Daddy and Janelle

These two are quite the peas in a pod. We had a family night tonight and Janelle and I were trying to convince Daddy to take a walk after dinner out. After losing I told Janelle to call Daddy a party pooper to which she said "Daddy, you're a potty pooper!" I don't know if it was just an honest confusion between the words or Janelle picking up the New York accent. Hmmmmm... In Brad's defense, his "superior" idea of taking a drive in the hills was very nice.

Wild Animal

Shortly before I took this photo, Logan was on his hands and knees with the panda puppet in his mouth shaking it back in forth. He loves putting stuffed things in his mouth and then carries them that way.

Living Room

I'm so sorry for not keeping up with my blog. I plan to try and take a daily picture of our day and share it, maybe then I'll stay on top of it. So be ready to be bored because our days can be pretty uneventful. If things are that boring why can't I stay on top of it you ask? Good question, and when I think of an answer I'll let you know! ;) So here's the picture of the day.

Logan absolutely loves shoes. I should mention that he tries to put Brad's on first but they are a lot heavier than mine and he can't walk. So he usually has mine on, even my heels. He gets so frustrated that he can't get his own on but I have noticed him in his sisters sandals a lot lately. I have yet to find out if it's actually him getting them on or his sister sharing and playing dress-up.

I know I promised pictures as I re-did the house. Well I never promised I'd get them up in a timely fashion. :) Since going on the Dave Ramsey Plan, getting our house just the way we want it has become a slow and thrifty transformation. For the most part the living room is done so I took some pictures, I just need one more floor lamp, new pillows, and we plan on getting new carpet as soon as the puppy we don't have yet is potty trained. Ha! The other rooms are mostly painted but still getting those last touches to fill the walls and such.

Our little builder!

Logan loves taking all the cans out of my cupboard. At least he did something creative with them this time instead of leaving them everywhere for me to stub my toes on. I was pretty impressed with how well he stacked them.

Bowling party!

Janelle got to go to a friend's bowling birthday party.
It was her first time bowling and she worked so hard getting the ball to the lane.

She finally got the strength to throw it and then she'd stand there and watch... and watch... and watch. I think she made the record of the slowest speed for bowling.

But hey! Watching the ball roll is half the fun!

Logan turned one!

At first he did seem too sure what to do with this "thing" on his tray.

But after that first taste, he decided it was worth diving right into!
